Famous people also like bears:

"The driving controls provide as realistic of an experience as I can imagine if I were a bear driving a car"
- TouchArcade.com

"Enviro-Bear 2010 is a game made by crazy people ... practically impossible to get to wherever you want to go"
- SlideToPlay.com

"The best, and only, bear-driving-a-car simulation. Come for the absurdist humor, stay for the limited, but deceptively deep game design."
- Anthony Burch, Destructoid

"Its fantastically manic and unapologetically absurd, and any would-be quibbles about the touchiness of its vehicular controls are instantly headed-off and negated by the bare fact that bears dont know how to drive cars."
- Brandon Boyer, Offworld

Pros and cons of Enviro-Bear 2010 app for iPhone and iPad

Enviro-Bear 2010 app good for

ich hoffe, es gibt bald ein update, damit das game auf meinem iPod mit os 2.2.1 läuft. Ich habs gekauft, kanns aber nicht spielen... :( please update so I can play it on my iPod with os 2.2.1! I bought it but I cant play it! :( EDIT: runs perfectly now, thanks! this game deserves an oscar! FTW!
It looks utterly terrible. The graphics are crayons on construction paper scribbled by a second-grader with only a rudimentary sense of style, and from the screenshots a lot of you will be likely to pass this by. Dont. Really. Because underneath that poorly-drawn exterior is a game whose almost ridiculous attention to detail and absurdist humour make this a game so surprisingly and thoroughly enjoyable that youll be playing it it repeatedly, and at the same time wondering why. The graphics are deliberately bad; they serve as a stark contrast to a game where every every action is controlled by you. You have to grab the gas pedal with your paw and push down to accelerate, or on the brake to stop; grab fish and berries and feed the bears face with them (literally bring them to the bears mouth), grab nuisances like bees and badgers and toss them out of the car, grab and shift the shifter to drive in reverse, grab the wheel and turn to turn the car, and more. Theres actually a physics engine involved here, and some unexpected surprises. You can grab a rock to weigh down the gas pedal if you like, for example, in case youre sick of constantly taking your paw off the wheel to accelerate. Dont judge the game by its screenshots, or youll miss out on a brilliant sleeper hit.
Justin Smith is the Andy Warhol of the app store, using talent and imagination to craft a sublime experience of comedy and gameplay that is more than it appears at first glance. Bravo!
Great intuitive control, hilarious graphics and situation. Lots of fun and worth the price! I laughed too hard the first time I opened the app. More like this please!
This game looks horrid, but thats what gives its charm. An unexpected success, no doubt, for the creator, but easily worth the money to buy this app. Add to your list of accomplishments owning the only "bear driving a car" simulator in existence.
Enviro-Bear 2010 might, on the surface, appear a mindless game for children, but it saddens me that even most adult reviewers still treat it as some kind of joke. The bell tolls for thee -- it tolls for all of humanity when we fail to recognize the consequences of our reckless self-indulgence. Enviro-Bear 2010 is not a childrens game, though it delivers a powerful message that even they must hear. We are all on the road to annihilation, to a world where the destruction we have wrought stains even the most irreproachable, where even the animals themselves are forced to appropriate Mans gruesome steel implements for their own meager survival. Take heed, reviewers! Mr. Smith might be imparting the most unwelcome of prophecies, but he does so with the hope of change! It is not too late! SAVE YOURSELVES

Some bad moments

The reviews are bogus. Theres a topic on toucharcade making fun of this game. Its so bad. Controls are impossible the graphics make it ultra-hard to drive etc. Even if this was free i would feel ripped off.
The controls are unresponsive and laggy, the "artwork" is terrible and looks like it was drawn by a five year-old and after attempting to play for about 30 seconds the gameplay gets repetitive and boring. Imagine attempting to drive a car with a rusty needle in one eye and your legs and one arm chopped off. Thats what playing this game is like. In order to move forwards throughout the terrible game you either have to balance an object on the pedal and use the rudimentary steering wheel or push down the pedal after dozens of attempts and then trying to grab the wheel so you can attempt to steer for a few seconds. This game was truly made for people with IQs smaller than their shoe size. I would much rather mutilate my genitals than be forced to play this game for over 5 minutes.
Good idea for a game, poorly executed though. The controls are terrible and the game is very messy and sloppy.
I BOUGHT THIS GAME FOR 2$$$ AND IT DOESNT WORK I AM REALLY SAD((( PLEASE RETURN MY MONEY!!!! OR MAKE THE GAME WORK IN MY IPHONE PLS
This is game, however weird and inscrutable it all is, has an absurd charm and humor about it. Its sad then that the entire experience is ruined by the horrible, horrible controls. The bears arm flaps about all over the place most of the time, hardly ever grabbing a hold of what you want it to. Its entirely hit or miss. It can start out fun at first as a kind of "bad game challenge" but it quickly grows frustrating and takes the fun out of it.
Not worth spending money on. The controls are terrible and not easy for playing. I dont know how it gets good reviews. Maybe Im missing something but it is not enjoyable and gets boring fast. I found out about it through a Mashable app review. This among some of their other recommendations makes me not trust them anymore.
